Grandmother's Apple Tree

Sometimes when I have a painting that hangs around for a couple of years and doesn't seem to wanna sell, I take a 2nd look at it.

Here are two paintings that are getting evaluated.
One I already worked on to give it a certain feel I want that seemed missing and one that I am in the middle of changing.

Here is the one that is already changed.
"Grandmothers Apple Tree. A 20 x 30 inch oil painting.
I wasn't exactly happy with it after I looked at it for a few month.
The image on the left is the before, on the right the way it is now.

If you are interested in purchasing this painting click here to find out how.

This is a tree that is in the corners of my memories all the time.

Here is the other painting that is getting a work over.

"Mona Lavender Still Life." (The painting was up for sale on ETSY but I have taken it down until the new revised painting is finished.)

It was too busy and the negative space was non existent making it hard to get comfortable with.

While I loved it in one way I also felt something needed to be done to make it more pleasing.

Which is what I am trying to do now.

I may just end up ruin it all together when I am done but that is a risk I will take.

We will see the outcome. When the dark areas have dried a bit I will revisit the flowers.
